Some disabled Australians can legally be paid as little as $3.31 an hour under Australia’s Supported Wage System, despite the national minimum wage now sitting at $26.44 an hour.
A new report from the Grattan Institute argues the current system is outdated and calls for fairer wages and stronger pathways into mainstream employment.
